After selling charcoal in town, Tanjiro returns habitation to find his whole family expressionless. Merely his sis Nezuko has survived -- merely she's inverse.

Tanjiro departs for the mountains with Nezuko in tow. En route, he smells blood coming from inside a temple, where he stumbles upon a gruesome scene.

Nether Sakonji, Tanjiro trains to become a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. But before he tin can join, he'll have to qualify for the Final Selection.

The Last Selection begins. Tanjiro and the other trainees must survive for vii days amid demons trapped alive by Demon Slayer swordsmen.

Tanjiro is amidst the 4 survivors of the Concluding Selection. After acquiring a new sword, he receives orders for his first mission as a Demon Slayer.

For his first mission, Tanjiro heads northwest to a hamlet where he meets Kazumi, whose lover has disappeared without a trace.

With the house turning with each beat of the drum, an injured Tanjiro struggles confronting Kyogai'south overwhelming assail.

Now outside the cursed drum firm, Tanjiro finds a beaten and bloody Zenitsu, and is confronted past the belligerent man wearing a boar's head mask.

Tanjiro travels north-northeast with Inosuke and Zenitsu on their next mission. They reach Natagumo Mountain, where a spider horde resides.

With their beau Demon Slayers under the demon spider'due south control, Tanjiro and Inosuke must effigy a mode to subdue their comrades without harming them.

After facing the female parent spider, Tanjiro learns of a demon nether Muzan Kibutsuji's directly command who may hold the central to turning Nezuko back to man.

Tanjiro is dragged before a gathering of the Hashira, the near powerful of Demon Slayer Corps swordsmen, to confront judgment.

Despite Ubuyashiki'due south decision to accept Tanjiro and Nezuko into the Corps, Sanemi tries to depict out Nezuko's demonic bloodthirst.

Tanjiro and other Corps members receive treatment at Shinobu's manor. 2 weeks later, he and Inosuke brainstorm training to rebuild their strength.

Enmu has them trapped in their dreams, but can Tanjiro and the others awaken before the destruction of their spiritual core?

Tanjiro takes a drastic footstep to try to wake himself from his dream. Enmu'south pawns are still unable to destroy the spiritual cores.

Inosuke, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Rengoku wake up and bring together Tanjiro in his battle to protect all 200 passengers asleep on the train.

Though deeply injured, Tanjiro breathes a sigh of relief when Rengoku brings him some skillful news — when suddenly, another enemy appears before them.

Rengoku does everything he can to defeat the enemy without causing whatsoever civilian deaths.

Though severely injured, Tanjiro heads to Rengoku'south family dwelling to bring them the tragic news.

Now led by Hashira Tengen Uzui, Tanjiro and the others disguise themselves so they tin can get hired in the Yoshiwara district.

Inosuke decides to sneak into Makio'due south room. Meanwhile, Zenitsu hears a lilliputian girl crying and tries to help, when he feels an eerie presence behind him.

Later on his run across with the powerful demon Daki, Zenitsu disappears. Uzui orders Tanjiro and Inosuke to leave Yoshiwara.

Every bit Uzui searches for Hinatsuru, Tanjiro continues to struggles in his fight against Daki. He decides to attempt a new form of attack.

Tanjiro uses Hinokami Kagura jiff to fight dorsum, only Daki regains power when her obi sash escapes the demon's nest and returns to her.

With Nezuko in her demonic form, Tanjiro tries desperately to end her from attacking an injured woman when Daki reappears, fifty-fifty angrier than earlier.

Gyutaro evades Uzui and goes later on Hinatsuru. Tanjiro and Uzui rush to save her, just Daki's obi blocks their mode.

Tanjiro wakes up to detect himself surrounded by burning droppings, with Gyutaro laughing delightedly at his plight.

Despite his seeming defeat, Gyutaro is nevertheless able to unleash devastating damage upon the unabridged district. Tanjiro searches for his friends.
